Distinguished visitors at QuDIT: former Minister of Sciences and diplomat from GESDA

January 15, 2024

Next Wednesday, January 17th, we will have the honor of welcoming two prominent figures at Pontificia Universidad Católica. Dr. Silvia Díaz Acosta, former Minister of Sciences and current President of the National Council for Science, Technology, Knowledge, and Innovation, along with Ms. Maricela Muñoz, Director of Strategic Partnerships from the Geneva Science and Diplomacy Anticipator (GESDA) Foundation, an organization based in Geneva, Switzerland.

Currently, GESDA is collaborating with CERN and the Swiss financial services company UBS to launch the Open Quantum Institute (OQI) in March 2024. This institute aims to democratize quantum computing on a global scale. More information about the OQI here: https://oqi.gesda.global

We anticipate a fruitful collaboration with the OQI in the near future and hope that this visit will strengthen the ties between our institution and these eminent international organizations.
